Therapeutic Horseback Riding

Plans are underway for a therapeutic horseback riding program at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Durant Public Schools and SOSU have partnered to establish a riding program specifically designed to meet the special needs of individuals that cope with challenges in their daily lives. These special needs may be in the areas of cognitive, developmental, behavioral or physical or a combination of several disability areas. The program will provide a safe, regularly scheduled equine experience based on the individual goals of each student.
