Public Health “On the Go”

September 1, 2022, 10 am-2 pm

The Oklahoma State Health Department will be back on campus this Thursday, September 1st.  The flyer below highlights what they can do for you on the mobile unit.
This month we want to encourage vaccination.  Have you had your MMR and Hepatitis B series required for students in Oklahoma higher education institutions?  Do you have the meningitis vaccine strongly encouraged in residential housing?  Has it been more than 10 years since your last tetanus vaccine?  Talk with the staff to see if you qualify for receiving these, and others, on the mobile unit.
Certain populations also now qualify for monkeypox vaccine through the state.  You must meet criteria and register in advance to receive this vaccine.  It will be available to individuals on the mobile unit by calling to set up through the Bryan County Health Department at 580-924-4285.  Questions about the vaccine may also be directed to their staff at this number.  More information is attached to this email.
