Cannabis: Real Talk

Join us as Tom Fontana, LCMHC, LADC shares some general knowledge everyone needs, like the biological effects of cannabis on the body. He will also explore the research-driven benefits and contraindications, along with what considerations are needed for use around employment and to optimize function in your daily life.

Tom Fontana coordinates drug and alcohol education at the University of Vermont. He oversees the BASICS program (which is a brief intervention model), and he meets with student groups, including Greek Life and Athletics. He is also a member of UVM’s CHIP team, which helps steer drug and alcohol policy on campus.

Tom is author of the ‘T-Break Guide’, a free resource to help people take a tolerance break from cannabis. He is Principal lnvestigator of a research study seeking to gauge the effectiveness of cannabis harm reduction resources,Southeastern Oklahoma
