Southeastern Oklahoma State University’s chapter of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society – the Oklahoma Theta chapter – was well-represented at the Alpha Chi National Convention in Birmingham, Ala., last weekend.
Alex Robinson, a senior management major from Bokchito and president of the Oklahoma Theta chapter, was elected as the Region II Student Representative on the Alpha Chi National Council for the 2024-26 term.
Additionally, chapter advisor Dr. Jennifer Hicks was elected as the Region II Vice President for the 2024-26 term.
The Oklahoma Theta chapter’s annual service project “Sock-it-to-Me”, which was held during February as part of Alpha Chi’s larger service initiative, received a special service award. This project was spearheaded on the Southeastern campus by chapter historian Kayla Strong, a junior sociology major from Cypress, Texas.
Alpha Chi is an interdisciplinary honor society which offers membership to the top 10% of juniors and seniors at Southeastern.
