- Stephanie Davison named Executive Director of Alumni Relations and Career Services at Southeastern
Southeastern Oklahoma State University has announced the appointment of alumna Stephanie Davison as Executive Director of Alumni Relations and Career Services.
In these combined roles, Davison will be positioned to continue positive relationships between the University and its former students, while also continuing to oversee relationships which will assist current students and their potential employers.
“Stephanie has served our University in many roles over the years, and I look forward to seeing the ways she will connect the alumni relations and career services functions for Southeastern,” said Dr. Thomas Newsom, President of Southeastern Oklahoma State University. “Southeastern has a such a strong affinity for our alumni base and leveraging that to connect with workforce leaders is a huge opportunity for us.”
Davison earned her Bachelor of Science degree in 1991 and Master of Education in 2009, both from Southeastern. She has worked at the University since 2002 and has led the Career Management Center since 2019. She previously led the alumni relations and special events offices at the University under numerous presidential administrations.
She has been an ex-officio member of the Southeastern Alumni Association’s Board of Directors and served in leadership positions on the Southeastern Staff Senate. She is a board member for the Bryan County United Way and the Oklahoma Shakespearean Festival and has previously served on the board of the Magnolia Festival. She earned the “Service to Students Award” from the Southeastern Staff Senate in May of 2024.
The Davison family’s Southeastern legacy runs deep as Stephanie’s husband, Kyle, and three children – Tyler, Josh, and Laura – are all alumni of Southeastern. She is the daughter of Dr. L. David and Pat Norris, both long-time employees of Southeastern before their retirements. Her father authored A History of Southeastern Oklahoma State University Since 1909.
“It’s such an honor to serve in this new role for a University I love and have been attached to for so long,” Davison said. “My family and I are so grateful for the opportunities Southeastern has given us, and this position is the perfect combination of service to our current students and former students. I am so excited to work in a position that meets my personal passions in a way that helps others meet theirs.”
Mark Webb will continue to oversee the Southeastern Foundation as the University’s Director of Advancement. Webb and Davison will work collaboratively on fundraising and events as Southeastern looks to expand efforts to assist students achieve their highest potential.
“Mark has served our university so well in the combined alumni and advancement position. These designations will allow him to focus on the overall advancement operations, as well as expand our offerings and development opportunities,” Newsom said.
