Southeastern announces campus closure for winter weather on January 9-10

January 8, 2025

Southeastern Oklahoma State University will be closed for business on Thursday, January 9, and Friday, January 10, in the interest of the health and safety of non-essential personnel during inclement weather conditions.

This includes the Durant main campus and the McCurtain County campus in Idabel.

Services essential to student welfare will operate as normal for students already checked into residence halls. The Glen D. Johnson Student Union will be open from 10:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, with meals available to students checked into residence halls from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. in the University Café.

Residence hall check-ins will resume as scheduled on Sunday, January 12. Campus residents should check messaging daily for any changes.

Spring semester classes will begin and offices will re-open as scheduled on Monday, January 13. Students who still need to finalize their spring class schedule should email their advisor directly.
