2024-25 Class of President’s Leadership Class graduation celebrated

Southeastern Oklahoma State University celebrated the graduation of the 2024-25 class of the President’s Leadership Class in an annual ceremony on Monday night in the Glen D. Johnson Student Union.

The twenty (20) PLC graduates have completed the first and most intensive year of the program. The freshman year experience includes course requirements, campus involvement, community service, and participation in student organizations and leadership conferences and academies.

The 2024-25 PLC class has completed over 950 individual hours of service to the campus and Durant community, and has been recognized for academic honors, selected for campus programs such as the Savage Storm Leaders, True Blue Ambassadors, and Upward Bound and elected to leadership positions in Student Government and other organizations.

2024-25 PLC Graduates are:

Jacee Bentley, a pre-nursing major from Durant. She has been active with the Baptist College Ministries and the Line Dancing Club. She represented SE during Oklahoma Higher Education Day at the State Capitol. Jacee was recognized during the Freshman Success Reception and has volunteered with Hands of Hope, Colton’s Run, SE Homecoming and the MLK Jr. Week of Service.

Rylee Gosnell, an aviation major from Durant. She is active with the Chess Club, Line Dancing Club, Baptist Collegiate Ministries and Women in Aviation. She was recognized at the Freshman Success Reception and has received her private pilot license. She is the recipient of the Brady Rudolf Scholarship. Rylee volunteered with the Celtic Festival, Aviation Day, Girls in Aviation Day and the Boys and Girls Club.

Hayzn’ Harmon,an occupational safety and health major from Valliant. He has been involved with the Line Dancing Club, Pool Club, Cornhole Club and the Baptist Collegiate Ministries. Hayzn’ represented PLC as our candidate for Big Man on Campus.  He has volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club, Colton’s Run, Curriculum Contest, Homecoming, Tailgate Alley and the Safety Career Fair.

Trevin Hohenberger, an occupational safety and health major from Paris, Texas. He was a member of the Savage Storm Football Team and is active with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He participates in the Football Bible Study. He was recognized during the Freshman Success Reception and was named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. Trevin volunteered with the Block Party, Haunted House and Homecoming.

Dylan Houston, an aviation major from Bethany. He is active in the Chess Club, Women in Aviation and serves as a Residential Community Leader for Housing and Residence Life.  He has volunteered for the Block Party, Hands of Hope and Colton’s Run.

Elias Jagoda, an aviation major from Sunset, Texas. He is a member of the Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Men’s Ministry, Ultimate Frisbee and Women in Aviation. Elias has completed his first solo flight. He was elected to the Student Government Association as a senator for Spring 2025 and again for 2025-26. His work at the BCM includes being a Men’s Ministry Leader and serving on the Welcome Team. Elias was recognized during the Freshman Succes Reception and received the William Allen Cruther Scholarship.  He has volunteered with the Campus Clean Up, Block Party, the Celtic Festival and the MLK Week of Service.

Darcy Kojnik, an aviation major from Edmond. She has been active with Women in Aviation, and Baptist Collegiate Ministries. Darcy is a member of the SEsports Valorant Team.  She completed her first solo flight and was recognized during the Freshman Success Reception.  Darcy has volunteered with Hands of Hope, Celtic Festival, Girls in Aviation Day, Campus Clean Up and Homecoming. She is the recipient of the Southwest Scholarship.

Kenedy Lafevers, a biology major from Durant. She has been active with Baptist Collegiate Ministries and Pre-Health Association. Kenedy was elected as a Student Senator for 2025-26. She was named to the President’s Honor Roll and was recognized during the Freshman Success Reception. She has volunteered with Hands of Hope and the Boys and Girls Club.

Laci Larsen, an accounting major from Rockwall, Texas. She is a member of the Savage Storm Softball Team, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Baptist Collegiate Ministries. She has been selected to serve as a Savage Storm Leader. Laci was named to the President’s Honor Roll, Athletic Director’s Honor Roll and was recognized during the Freshman Success Reception. She has received the William Allen Crutcher, the Gellein and John Massey School of Business Scholarships. Laci has volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club, Haunted House, Block Party, Colton’s Run, Campus Clean Up, SE Rodeo, Hot Dog Howdy and the Bryan County Tournament.

Connor Maxwell, an aviation major from Heavener. He has been active with Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity where he has served as the Director of Finance and represented the chapter at the Noble Man Conference in Nashville, Tenn. He is a member of Women in Aviation, the Line Dance Club, Cornhole Club and Student Support Services. He is a candidate to serve as an aviation ambassador. He was recognized during the Freshman Success Reception and received the Principle of Citizenship Award for Sigma Tau Gamma. He has earned his private pilot license.  He is employed on the line crew and with aviation mechanics. Connor has volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club, Colton’s Run, Campus Clean Up and TRIO.

Jayla Marks, a psychology major from Bryant, Ark. Jayla is a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee and the Savage Storm Track and Field Team where she has achieved a personal record in the long jump and 100 meter dash. She was selected as a True Blue Ambassador. She was recognized during the Freshman Success Reception and named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. She has volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club, local elementary schools, Homecoming and the MLK Week of Service.

Max Mosher, an aviation major from Dallas, Texas. He is active with the Cornhole Club and Women in Aviation. He has earned his private pilot license and the Ray Aviation Scholarship. Max was recognized at the Freshman Success Reception. He volunteered with the Haunted House and the Block Party.

Bailey Phillips, an elementary education major from Colbert. She is active in the Line Dancing Club and the Baptist Collegiate Ministries.  She served as Haunted House Team Leader and led a small group at the Prospective Teacher’s Academy. At the BCM, she is on the FRESH 10 Team, Welcome Team, Worship Team and Creative Team. She has applied for an officer position in the Line Dancing Club. Bailey was recognized during the Freshman Success Reception. She has volunteered with the MLK Week of Service, Boys and Girls Club, Colton’s Run and other university events.

Breanna Reynolds, an aviation major from Beaumont, Texas. She is a member of the Line Dancing Club and Women in Aviation. She worked on the Homecoming Board and was elected as a senator in the Student Government Association for Spring 2025. She received her solo flight endorsement and completed her cross-country flight. Breanna was recognized during the Freshman Success Reception. She has volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club, Block Party, Women in Aviation, Girls in Aviation, Haunted House and Under His Wings.

Philip Salas from Bokchito is active with the Chess Club, Ultimate Frisbee Team, Run Club and the Wildlife Club. He was recognized during the Freshman Success Reception and the SE Legacy Endowed Scholarship. He has volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club and many university events.

Jill Scott, a mass communications major from Pawnee. She is actively involved with the Baptist Collegiate Ministries, and KSSU Radio where she serves as a radio host. She has served as a Student Government Association senator for Spring 2025 and has been re-elected for 2025-26. She was named to the President’s Honor Roll and was recognized during the Freshman Success Reception. She received the Ray Gaskin Scholarship. Jill represented SE at Oklahoma Higher Education Day at the State Capitol. She has volunteered with Springfest 2025, Homecoming Week, Campus Clean Up and the MLK Week of Service.

Kaysun Thralls, an elementary education major from Calera.  She is active with the Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Alumni Legacy Leaders and the Student Government Association where she was re-elected to serve for 2025-26.  She served on the House Rules Committee and is an Election Director of SGA. She was recognized during the Freshman Success Reception and received the Inspired to Teach and the Legacy Scholarships. She represented SE at Oklahoma Higher Education Day at the State Capitol. She has volunteered with the Curriculum Contest, Boys and Girls Club, Winter Ball, Campus Clean Up, Springfest, Colton’s and the MLK Jr. Week of Service. Kaysun works for the SE Business Office.

Tayler Trapp, an early childhood elementary education major from Valliant. She is active with Baptist Collegiate Ministries, Line Dance Club, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Choctaw Freshman Year Initiative. She is a candidate for BCM Leadership. Tayler was recognized during the Freshman Success Reception and has received the SE Legacy and Inspire to Teach Scholarships. She has volunteered with Colton’s Run, Boys and Girls Club, Homecoming and Hands of Hope.

Reagan Vinson, a business major from Thackerville. She is actively involved with the Line Dancing Club and Baptist Collegiate Ministries. She was named to the President’s Honor Roll and was recognized during the Freshman Success Reception. This summer, Reagan will be interning in human resources for Dot Foods.

Baylee Weatherford, a pre-nursing major from Valliant. She is active with Pre-Health Association, Baptist Collegiate Ministries and the Choctaw Freshman Year Initiative Baylee was recently elected as a Student Senator for 2025-26. She was recognized at the Freshman Success Reception and was named to the President’s Honor Roll. She received the Greg Armstrong Scholarship. Baylee is a candidate for the Upward Bound Tutor Mentor position. She has volunteered with Hands of Hope and the Boys and Girls Club along with many campus events.
