Southeastern music department announces upcoming concert schedule

The Southeastern Oklahoma State University department of music is pleased to announce its upcoming spring concerts, which will highlight the talents of the department’s students and faculty.

The late spring has traditionally been a perfect time for music aficionados to take in the talents of the Southeastern music department in multiple disciplines.

All Southeastern music department performances are free of charge.

Spring concerts are:

Saturday, April 12 – Jazzfest performances, ending with the Musical Arts Series’ presentation of the Oscar Passley Jazz Ensemble
Sunday, April 13 – University Band Concert – 4 p.m. – Montgomery Auditorium
Tuesday, April 15 – Percussion Ensemble – 7:30 p.m. – Fine Arts Recital Hall
Tuesday, April 22 – Symphonic Winds Ensemble – 7:30 p.m. – Montgomery Auditorium
Thursday, April 24 – Southeastern Chorale – 7:30 pm. – St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Sherman, Texas (combined performance with Sherman High School choir)
Saturday, April 26 – Texoma Piano Competition – Fine Arts Recital Hall
Monday, April 28 – Southeastern Choirs (Southeastern Choral Union and Southeastern Chorale) – 7:30 p.m. – First Baptist Church, Durant
