Holistic Review

At Southeastern Oklahoma State University, we review each completed application through our holistic and alternative admission process to determine a student’s academic preparation. We consider every application individually and in relation to the admission factors for the University, including high school GPA, ACT or SAT scores, and rank in class. Individual circumstances are also considered as part of the overall assessment of each application.

Any student not meeting the performance or curricular requirements for admission to Southeastern Oklahoma State University will automatically be considered for admission under the Alternative Admission category.

Students showing promise for academic success will be admitted from one of the following categories:

Please note that meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee admission into a specific academic program. Some programs have specific admission criteria beyond the standard undergraduate admissions requirements and may require additional steps to be considered for admission. Students applying for the Professional Pilot program in the Aviation Sciences Institute will not receive an admission decision until the ASI decision is made.
