Education
Michael holds degrees in performance and music education from Texas Tech University (D.M.A), Eastern Michigan University (M.A.), and Oklahoma State University (B.M.).
Biography
Dr. Michael Scheuerman is the Director of Bands and Applied Clarinet Instructor at Southeastern Oklahoma State University where he holds the rank of Associate Professor. At Southeastern, Michael conducts the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, directs the Spirit of Southeastern Marching Band, teaches clarinet lessons, conducting, and courses in woodwind literature, methods, and pedagogy. Before coming to Southeastern, he taught clarinet lessons for Coppell and Lewisville Independent School Districts and held teaching assistant positions at Texas Tech University (clarinet) and Eastern Michigan University (band).
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Scheuerman regularly performs in solo, chamber, and large ensemble settings, coordinates the recruiting efforts for the Department of Music, and is the faculty sponsor for the Eta Nu chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi.
