2025 Safety Olympics Keynote Speaker: Gary Clevenger
Gary Clevenger, MS, CSP, CRIS, RRE is the Vice President of Risk Control at United Fire Group Insurance (UFG), where he leads the delivery of Risk Control services and fosters a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.

Prior to joining UFG, Clevenger held leadership roles at EMC and CNA Insurance as Vice President of Risk Control, where he was responsible for executing enterprise initiatives centered on innovation, risk assessment, thought leadership, digital solutions, talent development, emerging risk identification, and portfolio resiliency.
A recognized industry leader, Clevenger is a past recipient of the Susan Harwood Training Grant for Machine Guarding, underscoring his commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) and actively contributes to industry advancements through authored articles, podcasts, and thought leadership engagements. His work has been featured at IRMI, CPCU Society, ABC, ASSP, NFP, MCAA, NRCA, Iowa ABI, and The Insurance Nomads.
Clevenger holds a Master of Science in Occupational Safety Management from the University of Central Missouri (UCM) and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Missouri Western State University.
