The event, which connected middle school, high school, and collegiate level students through competitive events, leadership sessions, and networking, provided students with the collective opportunity to win more than $110,000 in cash awards.<\/p>\n<p>Southeastern Oklahoma State University received national recognition during FBLA-PBL\u2019s Awards of Excellence ceremonies for the collegiate division June 26 and 27.<\/p>\n<p>The following Southeastern students competed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kimberly Martin, from Little Rock, Arkansas, competed in Administrative Support Technology and brought home 2<sup>nd<\/sup> place<\/li>\n<li>Lisa Ariosto, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Business Communications, 9<sup>th<\/sup> place<\/li>\n<li>Owetha Wilson, Checotah, Oklahoma, Computer Concepts,\u00a0 6<sup>th<\/sup> place<\/li>\n<li>Kimberly Martin,\u00a0 Desktop Publishing,\u00a0 10<sup>th<\/sup> place<\/li>\n<li>Owetha Wilson,\u00a0 Information Management, 1<sup>st<\/sup> place<\/li>\n<li>Jordan Moomau,\u00a0 Brentwood, California, Organizational Behavior &amp; Leadership, 9<sup>th<\/sup> place<\/li>\n<li>Yoelin Cabrera-Fernandez,\u00a0 Miami, Florida, Personal Finance,\u00a0 4<sup>th<\/sup> place<\/li>\n<li>Jordan Moomau, Project Management, 6<sup>th<\/sup> place<\/li>\n<li>Ahmed Ibrahim,\u00a0 Cairo, Egypt, Project Management,\u00a0 7<sup>th<\/sup> place<\/li>\n<li>Jaclyn Garcia,\u00a0 Mesa, Arizona, Sports Management &amp; Marketing, 10<sup>th<\/sup> place<\/li>\n<li>Jacintha McGhee, Yukon, Oklahoma,\u00a0 Global Analysis &amp; Decision Making, 6<sup>th<\/sup> place<\/li>\n<li>Rachael Gentges,\u00a0 Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Hospitality Management,\u00a0 1<sup>st<\/sup> place<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cI couldn\u2019t be prouder of this team,\u201d said Dr. Luci Parmer, PBL Faculty Adviser and Associate Professor in the Management and Marketing Department at Southeastern.<\/p>\n<p>The award is part of the National Awards Program, better known as competitive events, FBLA-PBL\u2019s program that recognizes and rewards excellence in a broad range of business and career-related areas. For many students, the competitive events are the capstone activity of their academic careers.<\/p>\n<p>The NLC featured 74 events at the high school level, 60 events at the collegiate level, and 9 events at the middle school level. Events were modified to accommodate the online experience. FBLA-PBL has forged partnerships with industry leaders to underwrite competitive events and scholarships for students achieving national
